This professional label design and bar code software tool has powerful features for compliance labels and integration with enterprise software. It even supports RFID tags. Bartender Ultralite for Datamax-O’Neil Printers Only
Datamax-O'Neil users who just need the features of Bartender Basic (as below) for their DATAMAX-O'NEIL printer. Supported printers are all listed on our website.

Bartender Basic
For users who just need Bartender's essential label design and printing features. Includes the most frequently used label design features. Includes all text, graphics, bar code, and most of the serialization design capabilities. Useful for keyboard-supplied label data only. Does not offer software integration. Excludes all features omitted from the Professional Edition.
Maximum Printers = Unlimited
Maximum Users = 1
Bartender Professional
The licensing is based on the number of workstations on which BarTender will be installed, allowing a defined number of users to print to an unlimited number of printers. This edition is ideal when one or multiple users are NOT connected to a common network. The Professional version DOES NOT support printer or data file selection from other software. For automated job control, use the Automation Edition.

Bartender Automation
This allows for an unlimited number of users per license. Each license purchased is based on the number of selected printers on each network. A license server is run on ANY of the PC's on the network, which can be "seen" by all PC's running BarTender. (Ideally a Network server).

Maximum Users = Unlimited
Bartender Enterprise Automation
The Enterprise Automation edition provides the enhanced integration, load handling, and management capabilities required to specify, launch and distribute numerous label jobs using one copy of BarTender running on a single “label printing server.” Available for 100+ printers.
Maximum Printers = License starts from 3
Maximum Users = Unlimited
Licensing
From v8.0 onwards, Bartender is only available with Software Activation - That is, no physical key is used to license Bartender, as with MS Windows etc. To move Bartender to another PC requires a Licence De-Activation on the installed PC, BEFORE it can be Re-Activated on a NEW PC. This Activation can only be carried out on a key 4 TIMES, then a new Key MUST be purchased.
Upgrades
Version upgrades are available to upgrade the number of Printers for Automation & Enterprise Automation at a price of slightly more than the price difference between the existing and required versions, from the list above. Upgrades are also available from Basic, Professional, Automation. Additional printers may also be added to any Automation Edition. Version and Edition Upgrades are ONLY available for Bartender v9.2 onwards. Additional Printers can only be added to Automation Editions of v9.2 or higher.
